Sculpt Commission Information!

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 20, 2011, 11:07 PM

Pricing:

I calculate prices like this: $10 per inch of height (or length if longer than tall), plus the shipping. Now the price may go up or down, depending on the complexity of it (compare Ditto to say, something like Gyarados).

For shipping, I just need your state, province or country if outside USA/CAN, I will only require a full address upon payment so I can ship it to you.

I don't ship using the "Surface" method for overseas, since I have already lost a sculpture like that.

I will offer you a couple viable shipping options you can choose from! (YAY)

I need this information to give you an estimate:

  • Height (or length if longer) in Inches:
  • State/Province or Country(if outside CAN/USA):
  • Description of Sculpture:
  • Link to possible references (please make sure the artist is OK with this):

*Note, if you are looking to buy the premade ones, I just need a location, since I still need to figure out shipping.

How to Pay?

I accept payments from PayPal only, it's safer this way! Also make sure to send payments NOT  as gift, too many of these can get me in a world of trouble!

If sending by mail, a previous buyer has given me a neat idea, send the money in a photo envelope, it's less suspicious and slightly safer.

Restrictions:

There are a few things, ground rules, that you should know:

1) I have the right refuse to do any sculpture.

2) I WILL NOT make anything with the following:
-Sex/porn/suggestiveness
-Gore or excess violence
-Anything hateful/prejudice/etc

3) Please do not try to argue my prices down. It takes me time for me to make these. These aren't toys, and aren't massed produced, but meant to be individual pieces for you guys to love!

4) Please pay for the sculpture first, I don't want to have to make the thing only to realize you don't want one anymore. At least this way, even if you suddenly disappear from the internet, I can still ship it to you when done. :3

My gallery is full of samples, check out the sculpture folder.
And yes I can ship to Asia, but it will probably cost a bit.

Have you ever shipped overseas? I've always thought about getting a commission from you when I have the money but the risk of a piece breaking off from the long shipping concerns me

Well, I insure all sculpts and make sure to pack them well, to reduce chance of breakage. Really depends on what you are orderin'. But yeah I'm shipped overseas with much success.

Is it possible that someone were to draw a picture, and you made the sculpture to look just like that picture?

Oh, no, I mean, if I were to draw a picture, could you sculpt that characters in the same pose and such?

SleeplessTotodile Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2013  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Well, obviously there are some limitations to the sculpting medium, like fur and stuff. But yep, that's usually the ideal thing for me to work with, a picture reference for the character and pose.

Anything in mind?

Well, I'm animating Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time as a series on youtube, and I have a backstory with the main character and her friends, and I would like to have a sculpture of them, but I would need to round up what would probably add up as a large amount of money, so I was making sure it was possible first 8D

I adore your sculptures so much, it's a little painful- your sculpture of Sorbet melted my heart (too bad he wanted to kill everyone). One day, I will pick a favorite Pokemon, and I will pay you to make it. I just gotta pick a favorite first... XD gotta love 'em all!

(acronym title="Give a llama, get a llama! You also lost the game! :D") Hover your mouse here. You won't regret it.

(acronym title="What you want to have come up when hovering, type in here") This is where you type the words to hover over

If you're typing a sentence and want the hover text in the middle, type </acronym> after the last word you want included.

Just replace the "()" with "<>". So it'd be Hover over this text. I dare you.

(acronym title="Don't hover your mouse where it doesn't belong!") (b)Hover over this text. I dare you.(/b)(/acronym)

:3 that's how you do it. (I made that text bold in a similar fashion, if you don't know. (b) and (/b).)

I have so many favorite Pokemon it's just ridiculous. Gotta love 'em all. XD well... a lot of them anyway.

Just wondering, IF I would CO one, I would wonder if it would be acceptable if it was like this

My Totodile Joseph dodging a few energy blasts by jumping back. (no fancy flips or whatever, just straight up, & backwards simultaneously) Of course, the flames from his Boost Jump Jets (that are attached on his armor) would be on the base too, as if he recently jumped.

I'am aware that the sculpture could be unstable like that. But if you "ignore" it for just this example.

Anyway, would something like that be acceptable? I-if you know what I mean?

I see no reason why not. Dynamic poses look great.

Plus, I can always "ground" him by either having a single body part still in contact with the base (foot or tail) or have the resulting blast/flames be sort if the connection to it.

How much would extra fancy stuff, like an LED light or something, cost? C: Say, for a roughly 2 1/2 Charmeleon statue with it's tail laying on the ground, (like on a stand), with an orange/red LED light inside/underneath the flame, to give it it's own light? (Shipped to Idaho)

...I think my too-detailed description gave away my secret, evil plots.

The lighting stuff would be about 10$ more, since I need to incorporate the wires into it, plus need to construct a suitable base to contain the power unit and switch.

So, in all, about 40$, that's with the shipping included.

Height (or length if longer) in Inches: oh I have no idea? the height of the deerlings? maybe 1-2 inches?

State/Province or Country(if outside CAN/USA): Massachusetts

Description of Sculpture: I'd like four little deerling of each season maybe in a forest or around a lake? some sleeping, some awake. I'm not exactly sure? cute scene.

Link to possible references (please make sure the artist is OK with this): here are the four different seasons [link]

sorry if this is vague >w<

here's a horrrrrrible reference. [link]

basically, one deerling drinking the water, one standing on a rock, one sleeping, and one eating leaves from the tree, if you can see it?

the deerling don't really have to be too terribly huge or anything, since they are kind of small anyway.

if you can at all give me a price quote, i'd appreciate it >w<

I also do art trades, if you'd ever be interested!

thank you so much.

Hmm, well, 4 of them at 2 inches (4 x 20) is 80 bucks, plus 10 for the lakeside base, and 10 for shipping, 100$.

How's that sound?
(Also, I'll provide you a sketch of this if we do go with it)

i'd definitely have to think about it. I have started to collect deerling things, so I'd have to convince myself to buy it haha.

I was only going to have one deerling, but I couldn't think of anything for it, other than sleeping? so that's why i thought four, at first.

Well, could always have it eating or drinking. Two of them interacting, like nose to nose.

And for sure, think about it as long as you like, you gotta make sure it's exactly what you want. :3

Most likely 40$ (it's not that much longer really, it mostly applies to things really horizontal). Plus shipping (usually 10$ if you are in US/Can).

Though, the complexity can effect, so subject would matter too.
